AMBCWA 2025 AGM: Leadership Transition & Growth
The Australia Malaysia Business Chamber of WA (AMBCWA) held its 2025 Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 6th November 2025, at the offices of Pitcher Partners WA. The event featured delicious catering from Modu Bar & Kitchen, creating a warm and engaging atmosphere for members, sponsors, and partners to connect and reflect on another successful year.
This year’s AGM highlighted continued significant growth across all areas of the Chamber, including record event attendance, increased membership and sponsorship numbers, stronger partnerships, an expanding mailing list, and enhanced business systems to support future operations.
A key moment of the evening was the leadership transition announcement. After five years of involvement, including the past two as President, Bernard Chia stepped down from his role, alongside Vice President Keith Anthonisz, Henry Chin, David Siaw, Alex Kok, and Shane Wee, all of whom have made invaluable contributions to the Chamber’s success.
Special mention goes to Keith Anthonisz, who was instrumental in re-establishing AMBCWA seven years ago. Having served five years as President before taking on the Vice President role to support Bernard, Keith’s leadership and dedication have been pivotal in shaping the Chamber into the strong, thriving organisation it is today.
The Chamber proudly congratulates Jey Ramachandran on his appointment as the new President of AMBCWA, joined by newly elected committee members King Tan, Michael Carter, Ray Loh, and Irene Lim.
Bernard Chia will continue to support the Chamber in an advisory capacity as Immediate Past President, ensuring a smooth leadership transition.
